This facilitates the testing of the database in an emulator environment leading to reduced time and effort in commissioning. The QSCADA Simulator allows operators to familiarize themselves with the QSCADA platform in a realistic, offline environment before engaging with the live system. |

While the ePAQ-9710 concept was introduced in last year’s User Group, the concept has reached realization. 09:30 – 09:45 AM | QWeb Demonstration | An overview of the features and functionality of QWeb, QEI’s browser-based SCADA HMI which can be viewed from any HTML5 browser meaning it can be supported from practically any device anywhere. QWeb offers a secure remote viewing option for the SCADA system, supporting HTTPS and Multi-Factor Authentication. It may be installed in view only mode which prohibits issuing of controls or changing of settings. |

The utility sought a software and hardware solution which integrated seamlessly with its existing master station and met their stringent cyber security standards. |
11:15 – 11:45 AM | QConnect Overview | Introducing QConnect, QEI’s fully integrated ADMS solution. Existing SCADA users can seamlessly upgrade their master station with a host of ADMS offerings such as GIS, DMS and OMS. The system is modular so it can grow with the utility’s needs. Additionally, it supports many methods to integrate with third party ADMS apps via Multispeak, OPC UA and more! |

Training Workshops
Training Workshop over the three days (September 17-19) will consist of two block-scheduled Tracks.
Track 1 – Substation Automation
Track 2 – Master / Control Room Operations
You can either stay with the entire track over the three days or move between tracks, attending the workshops of most interest to you.
At the end of each training day, there will be a 1-hour open session of Q&A by Track.
The instructors who taught within each track will be available to answer questions, demonstrate and help solve problems on the subjects given.
